Through the Board developed and endorsed Vision 2020, the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is reaching out in a collaborative way to ensure that “All kids Deserve A’s”. We are committed to all our members, yet we are keenly focused on the next generation and we strive to provide Asset Rich Experiences for kids; Create opportunities to engage Adults Who Care; Offer Access to Opportunities and Activities that Build Confidence, Life Skills, and Resilience and remain Enthusiastic Advocates.

Every year, the demand for financial support grows and in 2009 more than 40% of our members needed to seek a little help to allow them the opportunity to keep healthy so they can go to work, raise their family or keep their children safe and remain active while fighting the childhood obesity epidemic, they find that the YMCA is the only place they can go in this pursuit of a healthy life in spirit, mind and body.

“My daughter is a bright and energetic young lady. I am striving very hard to help her use her qualities in a positive manner. Last year when I left her at camp I worried that she wouldn’t fit in and enjoy herself. When I picked her up, there was a new glow about her, and joy. This year she would in the leadership camp. She needs to learn to trust her gifts and abilities, to be willing to help others, and know she can succeed. Last year we were blesses by her mentor paying for the camp. This year I am reaching out. She has told me she wants to go to camp. So we are willing to do what’s necessary for her to go”. –Terri
