With a membership to the YMCA, we offer care for your child for free while you work out or use the facility. Members and participants can enroll their kids in our child care programs. The Y provides high-quality and fully licensed half-day and full-day care for your children. The Y provides school-age child care, kindergarten, preschool (with an autism-inclusive option), and infant/toddler care for its members. For more information about YMCA child care, call (513) 362-YMCA.

SCHOOL-AGE CHILD CARE

Our school-age child care program (SACC) provides enriching experiences for children from ages 5 to 12. These programs are licensed by the state of Ohio and Kentucky, and provide a curriculum focused on education, leadership, and character development. The program’s curriculum complements the school day. These programs take place before and after school at YMCA branches and at local school districts. Registration packets for each site can be found at the branch’s Welcome Center desk. The YMCA SACC program includes homework assistance, enrichment, art, music, physical activity, character development, and fun! AUTISM INCLUSION PRESCHOOL

YMCA's Preschool Autism Learning Center is an approved Autism Scholarship provider through the Ohio Department of Education for preschool, ages 3-6. The program is designed to implement a child's IEP (Individualized Education Program) and provide the needed therapies to achieve their goals. The program is located at Clippard Family YMCA and Blue Ash YMCA.

The building blocks of the Autism Learning Program are Applied Behavior Analysis and Incidental Teaching.  With a two to one student to teacher ratio and regular consultation with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, learning and development of skills is continuously taking place throughout the day and across all environments in our Autism Preschools.

Our certified Speech and Occupational Therapist will collaborate with the behavior therapist and focus on the implementation of the goals identified in your child’s IEP. Day to day, the behavior therapists place emphasis on building social skills, pre-academics, self-help skills, lengthening attention span and more. In the Inclusion Learning Program, your child will be included in a preschool with typical peers with a three to one to therapist ratio, along with receiving services of Applied Behavior Analysis, Occupational Therapy and Speech and Language services. Our programs are designed to allow a child with autism to experience preschool while maintaining the structure, therapy and academics that they need to learn and grow, in order to become as independent as possible. For more information, please contact Courtney Lee, Director of Autism Programming at clee@cincinnatiymca.org.
