As the area’s largest youth and family-focused not-for-profit, the YMCA reinforces character values through assets-based programs and services to more than 143,000 individuals, kids and families annually. Adult mentors encourage young people to be caring, responsible, respectful, and honest through sports, summer camps, award-winning early childhood programs,  after-school learning and enrichment programs, and leadership building programs.

The YMCA of Greater Cincinnati is the largest provider of child care programs in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas with over 60 locations,  We have been providing child care since 1978 and are proud to be recognized as one of the area’s finest providers of top quality child care services.

YMCA Child Care staff members consist of dedicated people with specialized experience and training in the areas of child development and education.  Their goal is to provide children with an atmosphere of warmth, security, and continuity.

Life-Changing Opportunities.  CSY coordinates Cincinnati Public Schools’ district-wide afterschool initiative via 120 partners at 32 CPS schools.  Visit our community network page or download CincyAfterSchool Brochure for more information.  Students enjoy 9 research-based program elements that contribute to over 50% of our students increasing their state reading and math test performance.  From foreign language clubs to STEM project teams, our students love to learn afterschool! This center provides transportation for children to Roselawn Condon Elementary, AMIS, and Cincinnati Leadership Academy.


 

With a focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, Y volunteers give men, women and children of all ages and from all walks of life the resources and support they need to be healthy, confident, connected and secure.

Volunteers of the Y:

  • Join our branch boards and committees

  • Raise funds to ensure the Y is accessible to all members of the community

  • Coach our sports teams and teach many of our classes

  • Motivate and support youth in building the character strengths, skills and relationships that lead to positive behaviors, better health, smart life choices, and the pursuit of higher education and goals through the Y tutoring and mentoring programs

  • Extend a hand to help adults who want to do more, be more or live healthier

  • Advocate for the Y’s efforts to influence policies and initiatives that positively impact societal issues of importance to the nation, and your community

  • Participate in opportunities to give back and support neighbors
