We offer a variety of water exercise classes to fit your needs. Although some of the classes are designed for specific skill and fitness levels, everyone is welcome. See the monthly water fitness calendar for up-to-date listings for classes offered along with a brief description of each. If you have special medical need or conditions including pregnancy, please consult your physician before beginning any exercise program. Those who are not members of the YMCA may purchase a punch pass to attend any land or water exercise program.

INTRO TO WATER FITNESS
Learn the basics for both deep and shallow water exercise classes. Also included are tips for increasing and decreasing your own personal intensity.

MUSCLE STRENGTH/ENDURANCE
This short program offers the use of a variety of equipment to strengthen and tone upper, middle, and lower body. (Example: bands, balls, paddles, noodles, barbells).

SILVERSNEAKERS® SILVERSPLASH®
Activate your aqua exercise urge for variety! SilverSplash® offers LOTS of fun and shallow water moves to improve agility, flexibility and cardiovascular endurance. No swimming ability is required, and a special SilverSneakers® kickboard is used to develop strength, balance, and coordination.

DEEP WATER CARDIO ABS
This class is 30 - 35 minutes of high intensity deep-water exercise intermixed with exercises designed to enhance and develop core strength.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION YMCA AQUATIC PROGRAM PLUS
The Arthritis Foundation in conjunction with the YMCA offers this program to anyone who has a need to exercise in the water. All exercises are approved by the Arthritis Foundation and are designed for muscle strengthening around the joints and joint range of motion. The "Plus" part of the program is mild to moderate cardiovascular exercises.

DEEP VARIETY
A variety of class formats will be used for deep-water cardio conditioning, muscle strengthening and flexibility.

SHALLOW CARDIO
This class is 30 - 35 minutes of moderate intensity shallow water cardio exercises including water walking and minimal jumping. Options will be available for increasing or decreasing your personal intensity level.

ONE-ON-ONE FITNESS
One-on-one fitness fun is not personal training, but a program that allows you exercise with an instructor to meet your own personal goals. Please check the welcome center for current fees for this program.
