NEW WALKING WORKS PROGRAM
Ages 9-14
Program targets children who have Body Mass Indexes in and above the 85th percentile. Participants must be referred by a pediatrician of the KY Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Program includes: fitness coaching sessions, nutrition session, medical student health coach, and free membership to the YMCA for the program. Contact Kari Holland, Wellness Coordinator at the YMCA.

NEW RC DURR TAKE OUT
RC Durr YMCA Take Out is a unique program to bring programs to you! All you need is a group of people (your business, school, church, or others) who will commit to a class being offered at your location. Contact Jaime Berryman, Membership Director

EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION
Ages: 13 years and up
Jump-Start your wellness journey by attending one of our orientations. Here you will learn the basics of how to utilize the various types of strength and cardiovascular equipment for your exercise program as well as familiarize yourself with what our center has specifically for you. Appointments are led by YMCA certified staff.

MOBILEFIT
At the YMCA, we are here to help members learn how to live a healthy lifestyle. The key is to design a plan that works for you, a program that will help you accomplish your goals and most importantly, a program that you can stick with. MobileFit is designed to help members find their way through the gym with a custom workout. Together the YMCA wellness staff and MobileFit will help you reach your goals. A Wellness Coach will be happy to set you up during your next workout.

PERSONAL TRAINING - Individuals or Group
Ages: 16 years and up
Do you need someone to hold you accountable to meeting your workout goals? Would you like someone to provide new, exciting workout routines so you see results faster? Do you need help setting personal health and fitness goals? Do you want to be physically fit but do not know where to begin? The YMCA Personal Trainers have the education, credentials, expertise and resources to develop a program that will best meet your needs. One of our certified personal trainers will work with you to devise a program that is tailored to meet your personal fitness goals and interests, as well as provide the necessary guidance to achieve your personal best. If you are looking for a one-on-one or group approach to your workout, consider hiring a personal trainer.

One on One Training:

  • 1 to 5 Sessions: $50/session
  • 6+ Sessions: $45/session

Two on One Training:

  • 1 to 5 Sessions: $40/session
  • 6+ Sessions: $35/session

CARDIO CLASSES

  • ZUMBA - Take salsa, reggeton, merengue, tango, flamenco, calypso, hip hop, samba and belly dancing, put it in a workout routine, add laughter, energy and sweat and you’ve got Zumba. This class is a fusion of Latin and International music combined with simple dance moves to create a dynamic and effective fitness system.
  • Variety Cardio- Consists of a variety of cardiovascular exercise such as step, kickboxing, hip-hop and intervals. Each class is a little different and keeps your body guessing.
  • Aero Fit – A program designed to educate and instruct individuals who want an easy-to-follow program of cardiovascular low impact exercise and stretching. Participants are encouraged to follow along at own pace. Great for beginners.
  • Group Cycle - This is an awesome workout for any level. A fast way to burn calories and increase your cardio fitness on our NXT Johnny G bikes. Instructors will create a wonderful ride with flats, hills, rollers, chases, lifts, and headwinds all to the beat of the music. Policies posted outside room.
  • Boot Camp- If you want to get into shape quickly and effectively and have fun while doing it, then Cardio Boot Camp is for you! Boot Camp is a high Energy, Super-Toning, Fat Burning workout using military style strength and stamina training movements. Don’t forget your water- you’ll need it.

STRENGTH CLASSES

  • Body Sculpting- A great class for strengthening and toning your muscles. Quick but effective this will help to increase your metabolism to burn those calories. Balls, weights, tubes, body bars may be used.
  • Y Pump – An extension of the body sculpting class we can now take you to a new level by utilizing our barbell weight system.

SPIRIT MIND AND BODY CLASSES

  • Gentle Yoga – A slower traditional practice of the asanas (postures). This class moves slowly as the instructor gives detailed instruction into and out of each asana. Perfect for the beginner or experienced practioner. Each class will leave you feeling stronger, with better balance and flexibility in the joints. This class is suitable for all levels.
  • Hatha Yoga- A balance of forward bends, back bends, twists and inversions held for longer periods of time focusing on alignment and breath. One will develop core strength, range of movement, and flexibility of body, breath and mind. This class is suitable for beginners to intermediate practitioners of average physical health.
  • Power Yoga – Class begins with centering and breath awareness then moves through a series of dynamic sun saluations to warm the body up. The class continues a balanced and challenging routine of forward bends, back bend, hip openers, inversions and twists connected with vinyasas. This class is suitable for beginner to intermediate practioners of average physical health.
  • Beginner Yoga/Pilates Fusion- This class incorporates the best of core strength building of Pilates with Yoga postures. The routines
    will focus on using proper body alignment and increasing body awareness to improve coordination, balance, flexibility, and strength. This class is suitable for beginners to intermediate practitioners of average to better physical health.
  • Yin Yoga – Style of yoga used to balance a more yang practice or activities like walking, running and cycling. The practice targets the deeper connective tissues of the body: the ligaments & joints. Passive postures are held for long periods of time allowing the body and mind to relax to a meditative state.
  • Mat Pilates– A physical & mental conditioning floor class focusing on “Powerhouse” strength, spinal flexibility and overall physical strength.

PUNCH PASSES
12 punch passes are available to program members. Passes are good for 3 months from date of purchase and may be used for water fitness and group fitness classes.

SILVERSNEAKERS
SilverSneakers offers an innovative blend of physical activity, healthy lifestyle and socially oriented programming that allows older adults to take greater control of their health. SilverSneakers members receive:

  • A free fitness center membership at a nearby participating location with access to conditioning classes, exercise equipment, pool, sauna and other available amenities
  • Access to any participating fitness center throughout the U.S. while traveling
