British Soccer Camp

We are pleased to announce that we are once again partnering with Challenger Sports, providers of the most popular soccer camp in North America, to host a week long British Soccer camp during the week of July 31 - August 4 2017 at R.C.


If you or someone you know are looking for a job this summer, we have our Annual Summer Job Fair next Saturday from 9-11 a.m. Staff will be on hand for those interested and we’ll do on-the-spot interviews and have training information available. Current positions available for summer are Lifeguards and Camp Counselors. We are also looking for teachers and after school staff!! Help spread the word!

Our Leaders’ Club is hosting their monthly Parents Night Out tonight from 5-10 p.m. and there are still spots available. Those old enough will swim (5 years and older), we’ll play games, make crafts, feed dinner, and finish the night with a movie and popcorn. For members it’s $25 for the first kid and $15 for each additional and non-members $35 for the first kid and $25 for each additional. Hope to see you there!

Couch to 5k Running Club Are you the person who wants to run or try a 5k race, but... 1. I don’t run, I’m a walker 2. But I’m slooooow 3. Or, you don't know "how" to run Guess what? You can do it, for real! This isn’t a club about “fast” or “pace” or “experienced”… It’s a club for MOTIVATION, ENCOURAGEMENT, GROWING, and LEARNING… and all those things come at different skill levels and different paces. Whether you “run” a 15 min mile or “walk” a 12 min mile (yes, those terms and paces do coincide!) we will support you and get you there. Club Details: We will meet on Sunday (beginning February 25) mornings for 12 weeks and run intervals. You will then have to run 2 more times during the week on your own and follow the same pattern we do on Sunday. Each week the run intervals will get a little longer and the walk intervals will get a little shorter. After the 12 weeks, you'll be ready to run the Cincinnati Redleg 5k on June 2, 2018. Even if you never are able to “run a race the whole way through” and have to walk – that does NOT mean failure. Walking in a race does not mean you are any less of a runner!! That’s not the point with a Couch to 5k program. It’s to introduce you to intervals and help you work on lengthening your run portions – and if you find a happy combination that works for you – stick with it! I want you to play with them, have fun with them, enjoy the walk breaks, and watch yourself get faster and stronger during the run portions! This club is free for members. Today, we had the pleasure of partnering up with the Boone County Fiscal Court and our Boone County Youth Cabinet and Boone County Schools to take 10 High School Juniors from our schools (Conner, Cooper, Boone, Ryle, St. Henry, and Walton/Verona) to Frankfort to meet with Justice Keller, and all four of our State Representatives from Boone County, Wuchner, Santoro, Koenig, and St. Onge. They had a tour of the capital building, met with a lobbyist, and also sat in on a sub-committee hearing. What a great day of learning about our State Government! They asked great questions about pensions, voting, and what these people do in and out of Frankfort!
