ACTIVE
OLDER ADULTS Specific times are scheduled for senior citizens during
which time they may swim or participate in an exercise program. The exercises
are devoted entirely to the senior citizens needs, with emphasis on fitness
for the total body.
DEEP WATER WORKOUT A
completely non-impact workout with exercises done in suspension wearing floatation
belts. Ideal exertive workout for any level participant, including non swimmers!
Purpose is to improve cardio-respiratory fitness, flexibility, body composition,
and muscular endurance. SPLASH AEROBICS Focuses
on improving cardio-respiratory endurance and flexibility, this shallow end aerobic
class works with the specific properties of water, such as buoyant support and
resistance, to provide a great workout for most levels of fitness ability, with
less impact on the weight-bearing joints.
STRENGTH
& TONE A muscle strengthening and thorough workout in the water,
with or without the use of equipment. Low impact activity followed by Deep Water
Aerobics.
H2O POWER HOUR More advanced
form of exercise for the physically fit, primarily using the deep portion of the
pool. Higher intensity power moves to challenge those who seek a new
level of training. Aerobics are combined with powerful strength moves in the water.
ARTHRITIS
CLASS Water workout specifically designed for participants who are
suffering from some form of arthritis. Class consists of exercises designed to
improve range of motion, strength and endurance. Taught according to Arthritis
Foundation and YMCA standards. |
