INCLEMENT
WEATHER POLICY
During
inclement weather, the Gamble-Nippert YMCA will follow the following guidelines:
The
branch will only close if there is a level 3 snow emergency or if branch management
deems necessary to close. Check with your local weather station and/or our weather
hotline for closures.
If
Cincinnati Public Schools are closed, Part Day Preschool will be closed. Full
Day Preschool will be open unless the branch is closed or management deems necessary
to close. School Age Child Care will implement a School's Out Day unless the branch
is closed or management deems necessary to close.
If
Oak Hills Local Schools are closed then all Group Exercise classes both land and
water as well as all swim lessons are cancelled. If Oak Hills is on a two-hour
delay, then there will be no group exercise classes, land or water before 12pm.
Youth
Sports, Gym Team/Lesson, Swim Team and Synchronized Team are cancelled at the
Coaches or Program Directors discretion. Please check the weather hotline and
website for updates.
If
schools are delayed, released early or weather occurs after schools are released,
please call the Gamble-Nippert YMCA Weather Hotline at 513.588.0255 to confirm
or check our website for updates. The policy applies to all programs other than
those listed above.
Please
contact the branch to register your child for the School Age Child Care (Before
and After School Program) School's Out Day's to ensure that program has spaces
available prior to coming to the branch with your child.
We
make every attempt to keep our facility and programs open and accessible during
periods of inclement weather, while keeping our staff safe as they travel to the
