SCHOOLS DAY OUT CAMP
Ages 5-14

We will offer Schools Day Out Camp every day that the Northwest School District and Cincinnati Public School District is not in session. Campers will enjoy spending time with their friends, playing in the Indoor Water Park and many other fun activities. Campers will need to bring their own lunch, swimming suit and towel. Registration must be completed in advance of camp day.

  • Week 1 - June 2-6 - Under the Big Top Camp
    Lions, Tigers and Bears-it’s a three-ring circus at the YMCA! Learn songs, acts and crafts under the Big Top!
  • Week 2 - June 9-13 - Down on the Farm Camp
    Your “little farmer” will plant crops, make homemade ice cream and spend a day with farm animals.
  • Week 3 - June 16-20 - Community Heroes Camp
    Come and explore the world of our community heroes. Campers will meet local firefighters, police officers, nurses and many more. We will also have a visit from the Hamilton County Helicopter.
  • Week 4 - June 23-27 - Alphabet Days
    Your child’s imagination and creativity are used as a springboard for basic motor skills, dance music and rhythm.
  • Week 5 - June 30-July 4 - No camp this week
  • Week 6 - July 7-11 - In the Woods Camp
    Your little camper will learn about life in the woods, through crafts, stories, songs, games and hands on experiments.
  • Week 7 - July 14-18 - Dino Dig Camp
    Watch your child learn about dinosaurs through science activities, crafts and real archeological activities!
  • Week 8 - July 21-25 - Under the Sea Camp
    Not only will we create mini aquariums, fishy crafts and more, we will also enjoy swimming fun!
  • Week 9 - July 28-Aug 1 - Sports of All Sorts Camp
    This week includes a variety of sports activities designed for kids who just want to have fun.
  • Week 10 - August 4-8 - Journey to the Jungle Camp
    Take a safari to the jungle during this weeklong camp full of animal adventures. This camp will be full of exploration and learning about the animal kingdom.
  • Week 11 - August 11-15 - Birds, Bugs, Butterflies Camp
    Children will explore the world of birds and insects through songs, stories and crafts! Even watch butterflies hatch from their cocoons!
  • Week 12 - August 18-22 - Pet Parade
    Shine up your license as we take our (stuffed) pets out for a spin. Help find a dog's bone, howl along to some of our favorite pet tunes, and parade around with our pets in tow.
  • Week 13 - August 25-29 - Best of Summer 2008
    We will spend this week reliving the best of summer. We will take a walk in the woods, go on a dino dig and spend a day on an animal safari.

YMCA DAY CAMP (TRADITIONAL)
Grades: K-5

9:00am-4:00pm

Children share their days with peers of their age and a counselor. Each week includes a field trip (highlighted in red). A majority of time is spent in a natural outdoor environment. Hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm each day, with pre-camp beginning at 6:30am and post-camp running until 6:00pm. Sign up for one week or for all 11 weeks. Day camp is designed for those seeking a flexible and outdoor experience.

Registration fees and deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Camp sessions have a limited enrollment and registration is on a first-come, first served basis. For advice on which camps may best fit your family needs, call 513.923.4466.

    E=ymca2 You’ll need your lab coat and goggles for this super scientific camp. Experiment with kitchen chemistry, meet a true scientist, and learn all about scientific principles and procedures. COSI in House

    Come walk the plank onto me Y pirate ship! Have some swashbuckling pirate fun with the cannon ball toss, stranded island obstacle course, and more. Aquarium

    Travel through time as we explore the ice age with a dinosaur egg hunt, the 1950's with a sock hop and floats, the 1970's with tie dying T-shirts and groovy 70's fashion show, and a return to 2007 to leave a time capsule. Bowling

ADVENTURE CAMP
Grades: 6-10

Our newly designed teen program is tailored to empower teens to achieve abundantly healthy lifestyles. The teen program will follow the themes for Traditional Day Camp and participate in all fieldtrips. In addition Teen campers will be engaged in the planning process for additional weekly fieldtrips. Teen campers will be involved with community service work on Fridays. The teen program will be geared toward leadership, development, cultural awareness, self worth and community involvement. Teen Camp encourages new interests through the enjoyment of new friends and opportunities for experiences beyond the everyday.

C.I.T. CAMP
Ages: 14-15

9:00am-4:00pm

The CIT program is a junior counselor training program. Teens will assist camp counselors with daily camp activities. CIT’s must complete an application and interview process.

  • Cincinnati Soccer Academy Camp
    June 16-June 20 - Ages 6-9 from 9:00am-12:00pm

    (Provided by University of Cincinnati Men’s Soccer) Learn the game of soccer through an exciting blend of exercises, activities, creative games and small sided matches. Children will be taught the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, trapping, shooting, and much more and will practice it through the use of games and activities in an entertaining and interactive environment.
  • Gymnastics Camp

    July 14-July 18 - Ages 6-12 from 9:00am-12:00pm

    Enjoy a week of tumbling fun! This camp will include bar, beam, floor, uneven bars and dance routines.
  • Beginner Volleyball Camp
    June 23-June 27 - Ages 6-12 from 9:00am-12:00pm

    Our Clippard Family YMCA Junior Olympic coaches and players will lead this camp. This co-ed camp will focus on the fundamentals of volleyball. This camp will work on passing, serving and game play.
  • Volleyball Club
    June 23-June 27 - Ages 11-16 from 1:00pm-4:00pm

    This camp will be led by our Clippard Family YMCA Junior Olympic Coaches. This camp is for the experienced player who would like to play competitive volleyball. This will be an excellent pre-tryout camp.
  • Tennis Camp
    July 7-July 11 - Ages 6-12 from 9:15am-12:15pm

    Join our Tennis Pro for a great week of tennis instruction. The week will concentrate on fundamentals. We will work on serving, volley and game play. Located at Colerain High School.
  • Terry Nelson Basketball Camp
    July 21-July 25 - Ages 6-11 from 9:00am-12:00pm
    July 21-July 25 - Ages 11-16 from 1:00-4:00pm

    This camp will provide competition, spiritual development and mentoring opportunities. Campers will improve on these specific techniques: rebounding, shooting, ball handling, passing, agility, conditioning and communication. Each camper will get a detailed description of their talents and abilities.
