One of our favorite members here at Campbell County YMCA, Bruno, is celebrating a special "homecoming" today, as the man who started Newport Aquariums dive program 20 years ago returns to dive with a new heart. Bruno had a heart transplant, and has been cleared to dive again for the first time since his diagnoses in 2003. The Aquarium is proud to partner with The Christ Hospital Health Network for New Heart New Hope, as a new heart visits old friends.

School's out for the summer, but that can mean an extra burden for parents and caregivers who rely on school lunch programs for their children. Check out the local resources provided here for help with summer meals. It's as easy as typing in your zip code. And thank you to those in our community for stepping up to ensure children don't go hungry. https://www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks

TODAY IS GLOBAL RUNNING DAY! Global Running Day is a worldwide celebration of running that encourages everyone to get moving. It doesn’t matter how fast you run or how far you go—what’s important is that you take part, and how you do it is up to you. Run a lap around your block, take your dog for a long walk, or call your friends for a pick-up game in the park. The important thing is that you have fun being active—and you inspire others to join you. Learn more here: https://globalrunningday.org/
