PERSONAL TRAINER (9/1/2011)

Personal Trainers are responsible for the creation, scheduling and implementation of a program designed to meet the client’s specified fitness goals in accordance with current safety exercise standards.  In addition, the Personal Trainer will follow all policies set forth by the Association, provide individual, small group and/or class instruction in wellness program development, strength and cardiovascular training.  The personal trainer acts as a liaison and champion for Activate Greater Cincinnati. Qualifications include; High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of related experience required.  Must have current personal training certification by the ACE, and AFAA, ACSM or other YMCA of Greater Cincinnati recognized certifying agency.  Must have current CPR and first aid certification or equivalent or obtain within 6 months of employment. Must obtain Principles of Health & Fitness and YMCA Strength & Conditioning certification or equivalent within six (6) months of employment or first available training

Salary Range: $11.60 - $13.05

 

GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR III (11/18/2011)

LEAD TUTOR (11/1/2011)

Lead Tutors provide academic assistance to assigned student, individually or in a group setting and assist students with homework in multiple subject areas.  Oversee the program in the absence of the ELS, such as reviewing class material, discussing text, predicting test questions, formulating ideas for papers, working on solutions to problems & giving direction to PT Tutors.  Document, track and maintain daily progress of assigned students in a timely manner. Qualifications include Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field preferred, experience working with children in educational setting, demonstrated competence in analyzing academic needs & providing solutions, demonstrated ability in teaching elementary/secondary grades in multiple academic areas preferred. 
Salary Range: $13.00 - $14.85

 

ASSISTANT TEACHER (11/1/2011)

The Assistant Teacher assists with the day-to-day operations of their assigned classroom, meeting all state, local and YMCA standards.  Maintains accurate classroom records as assigned.  Assists in implementing classroom curriculum, activities, experiences and routines in a developmentally appropriate manner, meeting the individual physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of the participants.  Provides opportunities for children to use their large muscles, both indoor and outdoors, with consideration for each child’s physical and developmental capabilities. Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma or equivalent; must meet all licensing requirements under the Department of Human Services of the state & local governments. Must complete and maintain current status in First Aid, Common Communicable Disease, Child Abuse Prevention, and CPR. Individual must possess and demonstrate ability to engage in all activities associated with the daily care, activities and routines of the program’s children, as well as the skills to communicate effectively with parents. 
Salary Range: $7.60 - $8.55

 

ENRICHMENT INSTRUCTOR-GYMNASTICS (10/5/2011)

Enrichment Instructors are responsible for providing the curriculum and instructing progressive specialty enrichment classes with a specific skill to be taught. Must be at least 16 years of age. High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Must demonstrate the ability to teach a safe an effective class.
Salary Range: $7.60 - $8.00
