BLACK ACHIEVERS MISSION

The mission of the YMCA Black Achievers Program is:

• To encourage Black youth to develop and pursue educational and career goals with the assistance and counseling of Black professionals from a variety of career fields.

• To establish a permanent career development program of activities at the YMCA involving Black youth and professionals.

• To raise funds to help finance a continuing program of activities at the YMCA for Greater Cincinnati area youth.

• To attract Black professionals to the many other programs offered by the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati.

• To promote the involvement of businesses and government entities in the development of Black youth through their financial sponsorship.

• To provide youth with positive, successful Black role models.

• To develop each youth’s social and moral character to the best of their potential.
