PERSONAL TRAINER (4/16/09)
Under the direction of the Wellness Director and in accordance with the Christian nature and purpose of the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati, the Personal Trainer is responsible for the creation, scheduling and implementation of a program designed to meet the client's specified fitness goals in accordance with current safety exercise standards. In addition, the Personal Trainer will follow all policies set forth by the Association, provide individual, small group and/or class instruction in wellness program development, strength and cardiovascular training. The personal trainer acts as a liaison and champion for Activate Greater Cincinnati. Qualifications include; High school diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of related experience required. Must have current personal training certification by the ACE, and AFAA, ACSM or other YMCA of Greater Cincinnati recognized certifying agency. Must have current CPR and first aid certification or equivalent or obtain within 6 months of employment Must obtain Principles of Health & Fitness and YMCA Strength & Conditioning certification or equivalent within six (6) months of employment or first available training. Y BLACK & HISPANIC ACHIEVERS COORDINATOR
Under the direction of the Program Director, the Y Black & Hispanic Achievers Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the program. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, workforce development, developing and implementing programs and events related to the Teen Achievers Program and the YMCA of Greater Cincinnati. These activities will include coordination of the Preschool Applied Behavior Analysis Learning Center, IEP coordination with local schools districts, reporting to the State of Ohio Department of Education and coordination of monthly autism family nights. The Richard E. Lindner YMCA is looking for a part-time, motivated and reliable individual to instruct members in Zumba. This individual will also be responsible for maintaining the general safety of members while in the fitness club area. They are to be responsible for making sure that members follow YMCA and REL policies and procedure for their overall safety. This individual will also need to attend YMCA fitness certifications in healthy lifestyle principles and foundations of strength and conditioning as they occur within the associations. DECK SUPERVISOR
