Back
to Basics Week is a week designed to help those that want to join group exercise
classes
but may be a little intimidated or just don't know where to start.
Everyday from
Tuesday, September 2 until Saturday, September 6, we will be
having introductory classes
for all of our group exercise programs. There
is no charge for these classes*, so come and
join in the fun!

*SilverSneakers
classes will be charged a non-member rate of $2 per class.
Arthritis
Foundation Exercise Program
This non-clinical group exercise program,
developed by the Arthritis Foundation, is designed to help those of all ages with
joint/muscle problems achieve improved joint mobility, muscle strength and endurance
in order to improve the performance of their daily activities. Using a combination
of exercise, health education, movement activities and relaxation techniques,
this class will help all participants enjoy a better quality of life.
Cardio/Ball
A
combination of high and low, easy to follow steps for 35 minutes of cardiovascular
conditioning. The stability ball is used to incorporate upper body and core muscle
strengthening.
Cardio
and Strength
1½-hour class that combines cardio and muscular
strength exercises for a complete body workout.
Circuit
Training
An energetic workout that combines cardio segments and
strength.
Gentle
Motion
A chair exercise program that promotes flexibility, range
of motion, balance and coordination.
Low
Impact Dancing
45-minutes of slow, easy to follow dance moves
Muscle
Pump
This class concentrates on isolating all muscles with and without
free weights.
Pilates
Improves core muscle control and builds stamina while relieving
stress.

Cardio Circuit
Cardiovascular fitness and standing circuit workout
SilverSneakers
Muscular Strength
Exercise to music to increase muscular strength,
range of motion and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic
tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance: a chair based program.

Aerobics
An aerobic program using an adjustable platform
Step
to Strength
This class is a 1¼-hour combination of step aerobics
and toning exercises for the whole body.
Tai
Chi
An ancient Chinese way of exercise to achieve health and tranquility.
