HOW YOU CAN HELP

Go Panthers!
Frederick Douglass School has improved its overall testing scores this year. The principal credits the hard work of the teachers, the community support and CincyAfterSchool Tutoring. Through intensive one-on-one tutoring and our Saturday programs, not only have the scores improved but also the students' confidence in their abilities. For info about Tutoring at Douglass, email Sheena Dunn.

Now school is really out!
The last day of summer school for all CPS sites is July 3rd. We hope everyone has a safe and happy break. Take advantage of opportunities to practice asset building by engaging youth in your sphere of influence. We are all on the front lines of Asset Building. For more about building assets go to www.ouraba.org

Tutoree becomes Tutor
Chris Reece, CincyAfterSchool Tutoring Coordinator for Silverton and Pleasant Ridge had spent a great bit of time tutoring a fifth grader who was struggling with her math early in summer school. Chris stopped into her classroom and noticed she was assisting another student. Her teacher explained that she had done so well with her assignment she was asked to help out in class. Email Chris Reece for more info.
