HOW YOU CAN HELP

Thanks Pepsi!
A $2500 Pepsi Foundation grant was awarded to Community Services YMCA. It will help infuse wellness in our CincyAfterSchool program by inviting children and their families to participate in learning adventures in spirit, mind and body. We will engage the community in Step-tember, Healthy Kids Day, and other special events to communicate the importance of healthy living.

Summer Learning Continues
Statistics show that youth, who continue to learn throughout the summer, increase achievement during the school year. CincyAfterSchool Tutors are keeping summer learning available both in CPS Summer School programs until July 3rd and at Libraries, YMCA's and other community locations throughout the summer. If your child needs summer tutoring contact Paul Clemens to find a location.

Meet Kerry Ginn
Kerry Ginn, Program Director for ArtWheels, exudes a contagious dynamic energy that staff, volunteers and youth find magnetic. Kerry turns a pile of scraps into 90 minutes of fun in a flash. Her effervescent method of sharing ideas stimulates the inner artist in site coordinators and youth alike. Come see Kerry's free presentation on Art in AfterSchool at the CincyAfterSchool Summer Institute this August. For more about ArtWheels programs contact Kerry Ginn.
