HOW YOU CAN HELP

We make the world better when we...
Sing! Dance! Drum! Paint! The exhibition at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center shows how 150+ youth from 5 CincyAfterSchool sites and 5 YMCA's in Zambia and Mexico responded. Bio's and artwork will be on exhibit until May 28th. Site Coordinator, Annie Droege, along with participants from the CincyAfterSchool program at Pleasant Ridge enjoy the opening reception.

Youth Going Places
Youth in Government Program Director, Jana Nattermann shares a moment with Ariel Dean, Katie Caldwell and Heather Couch as they participated in a statewide gathering in Columbus. Students presented their bills in committee, which hopefully passed the senate, and one bill passed out of Senate and made it to the Youth Governor. Though not really signed into law, it is a huge opportunity for students to experience how this process works.

Few degrees of separation!
Kerry Ginn, CincyAfterSchool Arts Program Director, and brainchild behind the International Art Club grins with Astrida Griggs, staff member at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. Astrida, who immigrated to the USA from Zambia, delighted us with her perspective on the International Arts exhibit.
