Excellence at Ryland Recognized!
The Excellence Award, an annual recognition from the Kentucky Department of Education of the BEST Afterschool program in all of Kentucky, will be presented to the Ryland Heights Afterschool Program on Nov. 13 in Louisville. The Kenton County and Community Services YMCA is proud to recognize Ann Ahlers-Stahl, Site Coordinator and Cathy Barwell, Ryland Heights Principal, of this award winning program. This award was judged on many criteria including increase in grades and participation.

  
 

AfterSchool Kids Can Dance!
CincyAfterSchool kids get press doing the Cupid Shuffle with School board president Eileen Cooper Reed at Ethel M. Taylor Academy. Rochelle Morton, CincyAfterSchool Regional Network director brought the dance to all the 21st Century AfterSchool sites as a part of the YMCA's Activate America -America on the Move Week. November 5-9 is Y-Arts Week!
Our new ArtWheels Van in all it's finery will be rolling out to 5 sites to celebrate Y Arts Week! There is a public event Monday at Pleasant Ridge Library, and four events at afterschool programs at: Mercer Elementary AfterSchool Program, Pleasant Ridge AfterSchool, Woodfill in Campbell County, Carson's AfterSchool throughout the week.
