Youth Council Awarded Premier Delegation Status at CONA!
Composed of high school students from Hughes, Withrow University, SCPA, Summit Country Day, and Mother of Mercy, 10 representatives were chosen to attend the Conference on National Affairs in Black Mountain, North Carolina. The purpose of the conference is to increase awareness of national concerns and issues, enhance commitment to appropriate persons at the Federal Government level and strengthen commitment and understanding of the Christian values of the YMCA. The youth council returned from CONA on Friday, July 6th where they were awarded Premier Delegation status for the second time in Ohio's history. CSY Attends U.S. Department of Education's Conference in Miami
Eight CincyAfterSchool representatives from 4 Cincinnati Public Schools joined conference presenters Rochelle Morton and Rebecca Kelley at the U.S. Department of Education's 21st Century Community Learning Center conference in Miami last week. Cookout at the Dayton YMCA Teen Center Two teams of teens participated in last Friday's cookout and field kick-ball game. Hotdogs, cookies, and drinks were provided to the teens that participated in the event. There are several summer activities offered at the Teen Center.
